Beth Schmitz Designs began in 2000 as Wolf Mountain Jewelry. I started by twisting a piece of wire into a loop to make an earring. Earrings led to bracelets and necklaces. I taught myself to solder sterling silver and set cabochon stones. Soon I was making pendants to hang from my necklaces. I sold these first at Market Days in Wimberley, Gruene and Boerne, Texas. Soon, I was accepted into art shows like the Dallas ArtFest, Bayou City Art Show (Houston), and Ruidoso, NM Art Festival.
Wolf Mountain Jewelry continued for five years before I started AvantPearl.com. AvantPearl.com emerged from my love of all types of pearls. This business was very different from Wolf Mountain Jewelry. I designed the jewelry; my designs were manufactured under my direction. All pieces were sold exclusively on the web site. I could use my creativity and let the web site do the work. Sounds sweet — right? Wrong!
I am back doing what I do best. I am working with my brain and my hands, creating beautiful jewelry. I have never been happier. You will see the results in my art.
If you like what you see, give me a call, send me an email. I may still have it in my inventory. If not, I can make another that looks a lot like it. [All pieces are one of a kind!]

Beth, I was a customer at avantpearl. So sorry to hear it is no longer. I did a search recently because I am looking to propose to my girlfriend soon and am looking for a tahitian pearl engagement ring. I had bought a tahitian pearl pendant that really hit home, so I was looking to go in the same direction. I’m not sure of the name of the pendant, it was set in white gold i believe and looked almost like an disconnected loop with a pearl on one side. I really like your work and would be interested to see if you could make me a ring. Please let me know if it is at all possible. Thank you.
